Merrow Village Bowls Club Presents Annual Awards

Merrow Village Bowls Club hosted its annual presentation lunch at Weybourne House, Guildford, on Sunday, October 23.

The club reports that a delicious lunch was enjoyed by club members and their guests, with a very jolly atmosphere and splendid catering by the Weybourne House team.

Lunch was followed by the presentation of prizes to club members, with special gifts being made to the ladies who help with the teas at home matches and at the jumble sales.

Several members won more than one competition, including Bob Carey, David Ewins, Sue Reigate, Rodney Morrison, and Calvin Haggis.

Congratulations to them and to all other prize winners.

A new novices trophy was won by David Ewins, to be known as the Derek Oliver Cup, in memory of our late coach and committed member.

The afternoon concluded with a quiz and a raffle.
