Motorists are being advised to continue to avoid the A3 at Wisley due to a closure of the slip road onto the southbound carriageway from the M25 at junction 10.
The closure has been put on for emergency road resurfacing to take place following a road traffic collision earlier today (July 11).
Traffic congestion is likely and the slip road may be closed until tomorrow morning. Significant queues are occurring on the M25 between junctions 9 to 10 as a result of the closure and it is best to avoid the area completely.
Diversions are in place and drivers will need to take the A3 northbound to the Painshill junction and rejoin the A3 to travel southbound.
Earlier, at 8.10am this morning there was an incident involving a tipper lorry and a motorbike. As a result of a collision the blue Scania lorry and the motorbike were both set on fire.
The male rider of the motorcycle and the female pillion passenger have both been taken to St Peter’s Hospital suffering from minor injuries.
