The annual charity raft race organised by Guildford Lions takes place on Saturday, July 1, and now is the time to enter this fun event.
This year is the 50th anniversary of the race, and the theme is “the movies”.
The race will be run on the River Wey between Millmead and the Guildford Waterside Centre at Bellfields.
New for 2017 is a paddle-board class.
The race is free for spectators who are encouraged to walk the towpath to watch the action. There will be a barbecue and bar available at the Guildford Waterside Center.
Discounts on raft building materials are available from Wickes, Guildford, one of the event sponsors.
