If you’re interested in understanding cancer – its causes, how to minimise the risks, available treatments – the Fairlands Practice Patient Participation Group invite you to go along to a event it is hosting.

It takes place at Fairlands Community Hall in Fairlands Avenue between 1.15pm and 6pm on Friday, September 21.

“Let’s talk about cancer” will feature a series of talks by cancer experts, including oncologists from the St Luke’s Cancer Centre at the Royal Surrey County Hospital and representatives from national and local charities.

The programme will include advice on how to live well with cancer, and detail the support available locally for patients, families and carers.

There will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions.

Everyone is welcome. There is no need to book – just turn up and stay for as long as you like. Refreshments and on-site parking will be available.

Further details, including a list of speakers, will be published at a later date.
