Notice: Charity Music Performance At St Joseph’s Church

A concert in aid of mental health charity MIND and the Catholic Churches of Guildford will take place at St Joseph’s Church in Eastgate Gardens on Saturday, October 26.

Guitarist Byron Johnston’s performances aim to be a departure from traditional guitar recitals, bringing a modern take on guitar performance.

In “Appassionata de la Guitarra”, he hopes to give the audience an intimate view into the technique behind solo acoustic guitar, paying tribute to famous genres, from Spanish Flamenco to modern interpretations of classical themes and the latest in modern techniques.

Supporting Byron will be Eleanor Turner, a passionate ambassador of the harp and an expert in contemporary music.

The concert will start at 7.30pm.
