Guildburys Theatre Company is getting the party started with Tom Stoppard’s farce On the Razzle, ahead of the Electric Theatre’s 20th birthday celebrations early next year.
The production will be performed from Wednesday, November 30 to Saturday, December 3 at the Electric Theatre.
On the Razzle was the first play to be staged at the Electric Theatre when it opened in Guildford in 1997 and was then performed by The Herald Players.
Guildburys Theatre Company’s production of the farce is part of the Guildford Amateur Theatre Association’s (GATA) Autumn Festival at the Electric Theatre which culminates in a week of events and performances on December 5.
Director of On the Razzle, Ian Nichols, said: “We’re delighted to be bringing this classic Tom Stoppard farce to GATA’s Autumn Festival. Our production is going to make the most of all the riotous fun and comedic chaos in the script and is designed to bring a party atmosphere to the Electric Theatre.”
Tickets are available from www.electrictheatre.co.uk.
