Notice: Guildford Choral Society Commemorates Centenary Of The Battle Of The Somme

On Saturday, November 5, Guildford Choral Society, together with the London Mozart Players, will perform at G Live, Guildford, in a Battle of the Somme centenary commemorative concert.

The Battle of the Somme was a horror lasting 141 days. claiming the lives of over a million people, among whom were 19,240 British soldiers.

In their honour, the choral society will perform Mozart’s Requiem and Funeral Music and also a contemporary piece by Ronald Corp called And All the Trumpets Sounded. Jonathan Willcocks will conduct.

The concert starts at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £16 to £30 (£10 concessions). A £2.50 per ticket booking fee applies.
