On Saturday, June 17, Guildford Choral and Southern Pro Musica will present a concert bringing together some of the finest choral and orchestral music of the past century from both sides of the Atlantic. The concert – Transatlantic Harmonies – will take place at 7.30pm at Guildford Cathedral.
Conducted by Jonathon Willcocks, and featuring soloist Charlotte Shoeters, the evening will include Randall Thompson’s unaccompanied choral setting Alleluia, Morten Lauridsen’s choral work Lux Aeterna and Barber’s Adagio.
The second half of the concert presents John Rutter’s Requiem.
Tickets range from £10 (Rear Nave) to £20 (Front Nave). Concessionary tickets are available for essential accompanying carers of registered disabled, students, unwaged but not to older people.
A special rate for under-18s is also available at £5 provided they are with a full paying adult.
