Join Southern Pro Musica, Guildford Choral and Tormead School Choir on Friday, May 10, for an evening of high-spirited Proms music-making.
The concert at G Live is in support of local charity Challengers, who provide play and leisure opportunities for disabled and young people and the Lions Welfare Fund.
Promoted by Guildford Lions Club, in parnership with Magimix, the concert will feature spectacular orchestral and choral masterpieces, including Rachmaninov’s Piano concerto no. 2, played by the outstanding pianist Lucy Parham.
Also included will be the traditional Proms flag-waving favourites, Rule Britannia, Land of Hope and Glory and Jerusalem, as well as music by Rossini, Handel, Borodin, Franck and Johann Strauss.
