Pilgrim Morris Men are a local morris dancing side in Guildford and this autumn they will hold open evenings for prospective new dancers and musicians to try the Pilgrim experience for themselves and have a go at morris dancing.
Taster sessions will be held on Wednesdays October 9 and 16, from 8pm to 10pm, at their regular practice venue at Pewley Down Infants School in Semaphore Road, Guildford.
There will also be an evening of music-making and an introduction to morris dancing to all comers at the Three Horseshoes pub in Cranleigh High Street from 8pm on this Wednesday, September 25.
Although Pilgrim Morris Men is a side of male dancers, all are welcome to come to these taster sessions and no experience is necessary.
Pilgrim Morris Men generally dance around Surrey and north-east Hampshire during the summer season, though from time to time will head off to other locations, mainly for tours or festivals.
