Ramblers in and around Guildford are gearing up for the Ramblers Festival of Winter Walks, which takes place this year from Saturday, December 21 to Sunday, January 5.

Guildford Ramblers are joining other groups across the UK in inviting people to join them for a free festive walk. The walks will give everyone the chance to enjoy magical winter landscapes in good company, meet new friends and relax, stress-bust and unwind.

Lynne Davies, chair of Guildford Ramblers said: “Winter is a wonderful time to take some time out, go walking and enjoy the cold crisp air and striking frosty landscapes, and of course it’s a great way to burn off the effects of any festive over-indulgence! We’re looking forward to people walking with us.”

The Festival of Winter Walks is organised nationally by the Ramblers, the charity which helps everyone, everywhere, enjoy walking and helps to protect the places we all love to walk.
