Notice: Re-live Guildford’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Years With David Rose And Friends

Local historian and writer David Rose is giving his popular illustrated talk Guildford the Rock ‘n’ Roll Years along with some live music to round off the evening next Friday, October 5.

It is taking place at the Fairlands Community Centre, Worplesdon GU3 3NA. Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.

Hear about the live music scene in Guildford from the late 1950s on through the 1960s with pictures of the bands who were playing back then.

Musicians who were on the scene then (and who continue to play today) Mick Douglas and Johnny Kelly will be adding their memories.

To round off the evening, David, Mick and Johnny will perform a few songs from the era.

Tickets are just £5, available on the door on the night.
