Santa Claus is coming to The Friary Centre this Christmas for free story time sessions for children.
The centre manager at The Friary, Vicky Hickson, said the story times would be “with the man in red himself, alongside the help of his trusty elf Betsy Booksy-Boots.
“The sessions will be interactive and involve a range of engaging crowd participation, including inviting the children to become honorary reindeers with the help of some fantastically festive tambourines.
“No booking is required. Shoppers will find Santa in his cosy Christmas corner on Level 2 outside Next, complete with wooden seats, bean bags and decorations galore.
“All sessions will welcome an extra elf who can interpret the lesson using British Sign Language. The first session of each day will be tailored towards children with sensory processing difficulties to create a calmer, quieter environment.
“We love hosting fun, free activities for the children in Guildford and are pleased to be offering BSL and additional SEND sessions to ensure everyone can get involved. We’re especially looking forward to welcoming Santa himself to The Friary!”
Story time with Santa will be be on Saturdays and Sundays, December 10, 11, 17, 18 and 24, at 11.30am (SEND session), 12.30pm, 1.30pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm.
