The Spike Heritage Centre in Warren Road, Guildford presents a talk, The End of Tsarism and the Russian Revolution, on Thursday, July 27, at 7.30pm.
The University of Kent’s Dr Philip Boobbyer will give the one-hour talk about this significant event in Russian and global history in its centenary year.
Set within its historical context during the First World War, history enthusiasts will gain further understanding about the causes of the revolution and the main protagonists involved.
The talk will be followed by an open discussion on the long-term consequences of the establishment of the first communist state and its wider impact on international politics during the 20th century.
There will be light refreshments as well as a complimentary shot of vodka when tickets, costing £5, are purchased.
