The South of England Festival Chorus will perform a ‘Remember the Fallen’ concert at G Live in Guildford on Thursday, August 16 at 7.30pm.
It is intended to be an early acknowledgement of the forthcoming centenary of the end of the First World War.
The music to be performed, accompanied by the Chorus’ professional orchestra and soloists, features the ever-popular Mozart Requiem together with Lux Perpetua by Jonathan Willcocks, a composer and conductor who is well known in Guildford.
The large, mixed voice choir meets annually in August at Cranleigh School and has had 23 years of proven success. Its members travel to Surrey from throughout the UK and, increasingly from Europe. There are even members from the USA and Australia.
