Second Person Dies After Bridge Street Accident

A second person has died following the accident in Bridge Street, Guildford, in which a Land Rover Discovery collided with pedestrians on Saturday, February 20.

He has been named locally as Del Kendall, in his 40s, who died at St George’s Hospital, Tooting, He suffered pelvic injuries after being trapped under the vehicle in the incident.

Tributes have been paid to him on social media today.

Kat Garrett, 30, died at the scene.

Following the incident an online petition was set up urging local authorites to make Bridge Street safer for pedestrains. It has attracted 8,000 signatures.
