The fire was discovered at around 6.15am at a vehicle centre on the Portsmouth Road, Ripley. Three tenders from Surrey Fire and Rescue Service attended to deal with the blaze which destroyed a number of motor vehicles parked at the location.

Investigating Officer Dene Mcpherson said: “Fortunately no one was injured but we are treating this as suspicious and would like to hear from anyone who saw anything unusual around the time of the incident or has any information about this fire.”

Anyone with information should call Surrey Police on 101 quoting reference GD/13/9086.
