Did You See Worplesdon Collision?

Police accident signSurrey Police is appealing for witnesses following a single-vehicle collision in the Worplesdon area of Guildford yesterday (Monday, July 21).

The incident involved a white Ford Transit van on Goose Rye Road just before 4.30pm. It is reported that the vehicle was travelling in the direction of Burdenshot from Worplesdon when it left the carriageway and was in collision with a tree.

The male driver sustained minor injuries. A male passenger was airlifted to St George’s Hospital in Tooting after suffering serious injuries.

Goose Rye Road was closed between its junction with The Avenue and Burndenshot Road while emergency services were at the scene.

An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the incident.
