Wanted Man Arrested in Clapham

A 28-year-old man, wanted in connection with a number of burglaries across Surrey, was located and arrested this morning (September 16).

Officers from Kent, Sussex, Derbyshire and the Metropolitan Police also wanted to speak with the man in connection with offences in other areas of the country.

Detective Inspector Richard Haycock from the Local Proactive Unit, said: “Officers from East Surrey have been working around the clock to establish the whereabouts of this man and this morning their hard work paid off when they were able to locate him in the Clapham area of London.”

Adam Yaroo, who had absconded from Sudbury prison in Derbyshire in June, was arrested on suspicion of burglary and escape from lawful custody. He is currently in police custody.
