Surrey Police have appealed for witnesses following a serious assault which took place in Tongham on Friday, October 15.
A police spokesperson said: “Officers were called by Royal Surrey County Hospital around 9.35pm following reports that a man had been admitted with stab wounds. The man remains in hospital in a serious condition.
“An investigation is under way into the circumstances of this assault. Officers believe that it took place in an alleyway near the Cricketers public house in Tongham.
“A man and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm with intent in connection with the incident. Our investigation remains ongoing.
“We are appealing for witnesses, particularly anyone with any footage taken in the area around the time of the assault, or anyone with any other information, to contact us straightaway.
