Shop Front: Hoxton Bakehouse Opens ‘With A Bang’ In Market Street

Hoxton Bakehouse “arrived with a bang” in Market Street, Guildford at the end of June 2022, said store manager, Clinton Fung.

“It was very, very sunny when we opened and we served free coffee for the first two days. We had queues down the street. It was a great opening.”

Clinton said: “We specialise in sourdough bread and pastry buns. We get our bread delivered fresh from Southampton every morning at 7am.

“We also have amazing coffee which we roast in our own shop in Southampton. All our staff across our eight stores are barista trained.”

The shop employs three full time and two part-time staff and Clinton stressed: “We work as a team, we have monthly team building events”.

“Guildford is a great town to be in and we think there is a massive gap for a bakery and cafe.

“This is the most northern of the Hoxton Bakehouse shops. We think we will fit into Guildford perfectly.

There are plans to expand seating into the upper floor where there are customer toilets.

Opening times are Tuesday – Saturday: 08.00 – 16.00 and Sunday: 09.00 – 16.00. They are closed on Mondays.
