A new ‘fast’ food restaurant has opened in Friary Street specialising in Californian burritos and tacos.
Tortilla has joined the growing number of new and exciting eating establishments in this area of town, opening in March.
A British brand, originally from London, Tortilla aim to offer customers in Guildford a unique and independent dining experience. Tortilla sees itself as an alternative to the big high street brands, using British food where possible and employing all staff from the local area.
As a fast-casual Mexican restaurant specialising in Californian burritos and tacos, Tortilla says that it is committed to sourcing top quality, fresh ingredients, including the highest provenance of meats.
It uses Red Tractor chicken for the pollo asado, grass fed British Isles beef for the carne asada and barbacoa and Red Tractor pork for the carnitas.
“It’s all about preparation, we make everything you see in front of you from scratch, with authentic chillies that we personally import from Mexico, Hass avocados and real Monterey Jack cheese,” said the manager Chris Bennett, adding: “It’s all made and served fresh seven days a week.
“Come in and try something new today, authentic, tasty and great value for money”.
Tortilla can be found at 21 Friary Street Guildford, Surrey GU1 4EH and is open Monday to Sunday, 11.30a, to 10pm.
