Teenage Cyclist Seriously Injured on A31 – Police Seek Witnesses

The stretch of the A31 where a collision between a car and a cyclist occurred

A 14-year-old boy, suffered serious injuries on the A31, by Farnham, yesterday evening (October 25).

At 8.25pm, officers were called to the A31 Farnham bypass, between the Coxbridge Roundabout and Weydon Lane on the east bound carriageway, where a red Audi TT had collided with a cyclist.

The driver did not suffer any injuries but the cyclist was seriously injured,  and was taken to St George’s Hospital by ambulance, where he remains in a critical condition.

A second boy who was also riding a bicycle was uninjured.

A Surrey Police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a collision between a car and a pedal cyclist in Farnham.

“If you witnessed the incident, saw the two young cyclists riding along the A31 prior to the incident, or have any dashcam footage then please call Surrey Police on 101 quoting police reference PR/45180114248.

“Alternatively, the independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
