Town Centre Waitrose and Onslow Park & Ride Schemes Approved

Guildford Borough Council’s Planning Committee this evening (November 6th) approved the applications for a Waitrose store on the Bellerby Theatre/York Road site and the Onslow Park & Ride, to be accessed via Egerton Road.

Only one councillor voted to refuse the Waitrose application despite loud applause from public gallery for public speakers against the scheme. Seven out of 21 councillors voted against the Park & Ride application.
