Video Highlights Faith Community’s Support As Food Poverty Increases

A look at how the Salvation Army in Guildford manages its foodbank, supported by St Mary’s Church in Quarry Street and the Guildford United Reformed Church in Portsmouth Road, is featured in a video film now uploaded to YouTube (see below).

The faith community in Guildford is the backbone of providing food and provisions to people in need, and this year has been busier than ever with a desperate struggle to obtain enough food parcels to give out each week as more and more people fall into poverty in the borough of Guildford.

The film, Sources of Hope – Food Banks (part 2), was made by Rob Marriot and it gives details of how the two churches collect food and donations for Guildford Salvation Army’s food bank.
