White Lion Walk has been short-listed to win a European Marketing Award for the “Scratch Back” campaign it ran seven months ago.
The shopping centre is one of two British finalists and is up against 17 others in the sales promotion category of the 2013 ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centres) Solal Marketing Awards.
In the campaign, customers who made a purchase of £10 or more received a branded scratch card with prizes ranging from cookies and hot drinks to vouchers and gifts from within the centre. There was also a colouring competition.
Steve Cotney, Centre Manager at White Lion Walk Shopping Centre, said: “We were honoured to be shortlisted for one of the esteemed Solal Awards as it recognises all the hard work everybody invested.”
The ICSC Solal Awards recognise best practice and outstanding marketing performance in retail outlets throughout Europe and South Africa. They are viewed as a quality benchmark for the sector.
