Surrey police officers are seeking witnesses after a man was attacked and left with serious injuries following a night out in Guildford.
The man was walking home along York Road with a friend around 2.45am on Saturday, September 28 when he was assaulted by three men, who punched him in the face, stomach and groin, causing him to fall to the ground.
The three men continued to punch the victim, leaving him with a black eye and serious bruising to his nose and cheek bone. The man was taken to the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford where he was treated for his injuries.
The first suspect is described as a white man in his early 20s, 5 ft 10 tall, of a slim muscular build with short dark brown hair. The second man is also described as white, in his early 20s, 5 ft 11, of a skinny build with wavy mousy-blonde hair and was wearing a grey tee-shirt with a print on the front, while the third man is described as white, in his early 20s, more than 6 ft tall, of a slim build with short light brown hair and was wearing dark-coloured chino trousers.
Detective Constable Mike Taylor, who is investigating the incident, said: “This was an unprovoked assault on a man who was walking home after a night out. He suffered a number of injuries as a result and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or seen three men matching the descriptions above in the area around the time of the offence, to come forward as a matter of urgency.”
