Woman Airlifted To Hospital Following A3 Collision

Police accident signA pedestrian, believed to be a local woman in her late forties, has been airlifted to Kings College Hospital in London suffering with serious internal injuries following a collision with a silver Toyota.

The incident happened just by the Burpham slip road. Traffic was diverted off the A3 for emergency services to deal with the collision.

Traffic restrictions were put in place following the incident which occurred just before 2pm this afternoon (Wednesday, 18 September).

Surrey Police is appealing for any witnesses to the incident to contact the Collision Investigation Unit on 01483 639922 quoting P13285498.
