To celebrate the 180th anniversary of the railway coming to Guildford, you must not miss the exhibition at Guildford railway station next weekend, Friday to Sunday, May 2 to 4.
Trains at Guildford in the days of steam.
Geoff Burch and David Rose have selected hundreds of vintage photos of the station and trains down the years, plus there will be recordings playing of steam trains in the Guildford area from the 1960s, and some railway memorabilia as well.
It means there will be the opportunity to discuss lots of railway things with Geoff and David, along with some former railwaymen who will be there too!
The exhibition will be in a shop unit at the front of the station by the taxi rank. Go along and wallow in the best selection of images of Guildford’s railway history and nostalgia you’ll ever likely to see.
Here’s a taster of some of the images that will be featured in the exhibition.
And we respectively ask that the photos in this story are not copied and published elsewhere.
