Services of remembrance to honour our war dead taking place, November 2025.
Saturday, November 8
Charlotteville Remembrance Service at the war memorial in Addison Road at 3pm.
Followed by tea in Addison Court Lounge, with a poster display of Charlotteville’s history and men who served in the armed forces.
Remembrance Sunday, November 9
In Guildford town centre wreaths will be laid in Tunsgate beneath the two Victoria Cross memorials shortly before the borough service of remembrance at Holy Trinity Church, at 9.45am.
This will be followed by a parade down the High Street and along Tunsgate to the Castle Grounds for the two-minute silence and laying of wreaths at the war memorials.
In Ash there will be a service of remembrance and parade from the Ash Centre to the war memorial, 10.30am to noon.
Armistice Day, Tuesday, November 11
A short ceremony will take place from the Guildhall in Guildford High Street, from 10.50am with the two-minute silence at 11am.
Worplesdon’s service of remembrance with readings, a two-minute silence and wreath laying, takes place at Harry’s Meadow, Jacobs Well, from 10.50am.
