A man suffered a fractured eye socket and hand while another man suffered facial injuries in two separate attacks in Woodbridge Road, Guildford, during the early hours of Sunday, January 3.
Surrey Police believe both incidents were connected and may have been racially motivated.
The first incident happened at approximately 2.50am outside the Futon Store in Woodbridge Road.
A 19-year-old man was walking along the road with some friends when he was allegedly assaulted by three men. The victim obtained facial injuries and was treated at Royal Surrey County Hospital.
The second incident happened a short time after the first incident.
Three men were allegedly assaulted in Woodbridge Road at the end of Dapdune Court. The suspects are believed to have made off in the direction of Dapdune Road. One of the victims suffered a fractured eye socket and hand.
Detective Constable Russell Cannon said: “We would like to hear from anybody who witnessed either of the incidents or who has any information.
“We believe both incidents may have been racially motivated and could potentially be linked. If you have any information which could help us establish the circumstances around these incidents please contact us immediately.”
