Air Ambulance Deployed to Incident South of Guildford

An AW 169 helicopter of the type thought to have been used in this incident.

The SE East Air Ambulance is believed to have been deployed to Guildford this morning following a collision on the A281 Shalford Road south of Guildford.

The collision was between two vehicles a white pick-up truck and a van parked at the side of the road. It occurred at around 9.30am, just outside the Shalford Park public toilets.

Shalford Road was closed for a short time whilst emergency services attended the scene and a man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Surrey Police tweeted at 11.11am:

Later Surrey Police appealed for witnesses.

A police spokesperson said: “If you witnessed the collision, or have any information including CCTV or dashcam footage, please contact us quoting P22160760 via:

“If you do not wish to leave your name, please call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
