Appeal For Information About Gang In Sex Assault at Guildford’s Odeon

Police are seeking more information about a sexual assault and attack in Guildford on July 12.

A couple were waiting outside the front entrance to the Odeon cinema in Bedford Road opposite the river bank when they were approached by a group of about six young men shortly before 7pm.

The group started behaving in a threatening manner before two suspects sexually assaulted the female victim. One suspect then slapped the second victim and spat at him.

The group then left and walked over the footbridge towards the train station, where they were later seen boarding a train to Godalming.

The suspect involved in the sexual assault is described as white, about 5ft 11”, of a large build with short brown hair. The second suspect is described as white, young, about 5ft 10” and of an average build. He has medium-length dark-brown hair, crooked teeth and facial acne. He was wearing tracksuit bottoms.
