Perhaps the Guildford Dragon would also publish the names of the 12 borough councillors (25% of the total) who were unable to attend and vote at the full Council meeting and invite an explanation?
If the purpose of a referring a controversial planning application to the full Council is to ensure the entire borough can vote on it through its elected members, then should not the council’s constitution prevent a minority of our elected members from deciding the outcome? In this case a paltry 18 out of 48.
