Ash Woman Charged with Murder Following Death from Head Injury

A 61-year-old woman has been charged in connection with the ongoing murder investigation in Ash.

Sara McKenzie, of Fairview Road, Ash, was charged with murder after being arrested on Thursday, May 11.

She has been remanded in custody and will appear at Guildford Crown Court tomorrow (May 18).

The investigation began after a woman’s body was found at a property in Church View, Ash, at around 5.50pm on May 11. Police had been called out by the South East Coast Ambulance Service following a concern for safety.

The victim, a woman in her 50s, died from a head injury.

A 64-year-old man who was arrested has been released without charge with no further action.
