Attempted Sexual Assault on River Towpath

Surrey policeA local woman was left shaken after an attempted sexual assault on the River Wey towpath, close to Millmead.
The incident took place shortly before 6pm tonight (Tuesday, 20 October) when a man approached and spoke to a woman who was walking along the pathway.
A 63-year-old man from Guildford has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in police custody while the investigation continues.

But detectives are still keen to speak to anyone who was in the area earlier this evening and may have seen or heard anything as any information could prove vital to this ongoing investigation.
