Emma Stevens: Guildford is full of talented musicians…”

Are you a rising musical star? Do you think you have the talent to be the next big thing? If so, the Bar des Arts is about to put on the perfect show for you.

Guildford singer-songwriter Emma Stevens is looking for the next big act to play in an evening of live music, at the Emma and Friends event on Wednesday 7th November.

Emma said: “Guildford is full of talented musicians and I am looking for people to play at the next Emma and Friends event. The event has proved extremely popular in the past and it is a great way for people to discover new talent.”

A truly local star, Emma trained classically on the piano and cello throughout her childhood before going on to study Guitar and Performance at The Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford. After finishing college she was asked to write and perform on the album for Britain’s Got Talent finalist Andrew Muir.

Sara Burks, Co-owner of Bar des Arts, said: “We have had some amazing performers take part in the Emma and Friends event in the past and we are looking forward to welcoming some of them back alongside some new artists.

“We are always on the lookout for new musical acts to perform in our regular live music slots at the bar so it is a great way for us to talent spot and book new artists.”

Bar des Arts is a café by day and a wine and cocktail bar by night. A range of wine, beers, cocktails and soft drinks are available to purchase, along with tapas. The bar hosts a variety of events and exhibitions, including live music, dance performances, open mic nights and many more.
