The Guildford and Godalming Branch of the British Heart Foundation (BHF) has presented four new heart monitors to the Royal Surrey County Hospital.
Local BHF fundraisers and supporters attended the presentation at Guildford’s Holiday Inn on Tuesday, Septemer 27, at which heart specialist consultant Dr Chua gratefully accepted the heart monitors.

Members of the BHF branch have worked hard over the past year raising funds to buy the monitors, and among the fundraising activites was a ‘wing walk’ on an aircraft by Hayley Bollons, of the hotel’s Spirit health club.
At the event she was thanked for her’s and the health club’s fantastic support for the BHF.
Branch chairman Shirley West thanked all who attened the presentation and for their fundraising and support, adding: “I would also like to thank Hayley for her brave ‘wing walk’ and to the Holiday Inn for their continued support and allowing us to hold our presentations at the hotel.”
Hayley’s ‘wing walk’ raised £1,557 and in total the hotel has raised £28,000 over the past year for the BHF.
Dr Chua was pleased to show how the monitors work and their usefulness for staff at the hospital.
