Jim Allen, one of the leading organisers of Burpham’s plan, said: “The Burpham Neighbourhood Forum members are delighted that the plan has been passed by the examiner to proceed to a referendum.

“We are grateful to everyone who has helped in the culmination of three years hard work and we are looking forward to the final stage”

The Burpham Neighbourhood Forum produced the Burpham Neighbourhood Plan and submitted it to the Council in February 2015.

“Neighbourhood Plans” are documents containing planning policies for a single neighbourhood area. If a Neighbourhood Plan is adopted, it becomes part of the Development Plan for the borough and be used to help determine planning applications within the Burpham Neighbourhood Area (Burpham ward) along with the long awaited Local Plan.
