A car transporter collided with the railway bridge that goes over Midleton Road (the old by-pass), near the Wooden Bridge pub this morning, causing local traffic jams.

logo-surrey-police-darkBGSurrey Police reported the lorry hitting the bridge just after 11 am this morning (February 4th). Two Jaguar cars are believed to have come off the transporter but there are no reports of any injuries.

The transporter was travelling away from the town towards the A3 when the incident happened. The road was reported reopened around 2pm.
