Cards for Good Causes’ charity Christmas card shop is now open at St Nicolas Parish Centre, Bury Street, Guildford.
Some of the many charities Cards for Good Causes supports.
Open from Monday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm, it has a fantastic selection of cards, the funds from which support both local and national charities.
Plenty of Christmas cards to choose from in the shop.
The entrance to the shop is to the Bury Street side of St Nicolas Church (itself at the foot of Guildford High Street), and the shop will be open until December 18.
While there, visitors have the opportunity to take a look inside the church’s wonderful Loseley Chapel and the historic memorials within it.
The memorial to William More in the Loseley Chapel.
These include memorials to the More (later More-Molyneux) family.
The memorial to William More was erected in 1620 by his son, George. William was the builder of the present Loseley House and was very active in service to the Tudor monarchs.
The tomb of Arnald Brocas in the Loseley Chapel.
There is also the tomb of Arnald Brocas who died in 1395. He was a former rector of the parish and also Richard II’schamberlin and clerk of works, responsible for redesigning Westminster Hall.
