Guildford Borough Council has announced some changes to its refuse and recycling collections over the Christmas holiday period.
Cllr Matt Furniss, Lead Councillor for Environment, said: “This year some collection dates have been moved forward, so please note the changes. There is more information on our website and also in the December issue of About Guildford, which has a handy cut out and keep guide inside. There will be no garden waste collections during these two weeks but the service will resume in the new year.
“When the festive season is over you can recycle Christmas cards and wrapping paper in your purple recycling box. You can take your Christmas tree to the Community Recycling Centre in Slyfield, or one of the special collection points, where they will be turned into compost.”
