Following the government’s roadmap announcements, the team behind Pub in the Park are excited to be heading to Guildford for the very first time, bringing The Alfresco Theatre to Stoke Park.

After a successful drive-in tour across April – June 2021, The Alfresco Theatre is swapping drive-in for deckchairs and will be hitting Guildford with a tasty mix of big-screen movies, comedy gigs, live theatre and exciting music acts – all served alongside one-off dishes from some of the UK’s most exciting and well-known chefs!

Designed as an event for the times, ready for visitors to book now with confidence, tickets to the outdoor theatre include a comfy deckchair for each guest to sit back and enjoy the show with their friends and family.

Meals by top chefs at The Alfresco Theatre in Stoke Park. Tom Kerridge’s 5-Bean Chipotle Chilli with Steamed Rice, Guacamole and Sour ‘Cream’ and lime.

At The Alfresco Theatre, foodie fanatics will be able to tuck into an exclusive menu lovingly crafted by some of the country’s top chefs, served from the double-decker Alfresco Diner bus, while sipping a selection of craft cocktails, beers or wine from the roaming bar buggies.

Björn Again The ABBA Show at The Alfresco Theatre in Stoke Park.

Friday night will see the return of live music as the world-renowned Bjorn Again: The ABBA Show take to the stage for the ultimate night of pop.

After performing more than 5,000 shows in 71 countries Björn again: The ABBA Show has achieved ultimate cult status, sparking the recent ABBA revival and inspiring films such as Mamma Mia! and Muriel’s Wedding.

Saturday night at the Theatre will play host to Mark Watson’s Alfresco Comedy Club, where comedy fans will be able to enjoy a stellar line-up of some of the best comedy acts in the UK. The evening will feature laugh-out-loud sets from the likes of Jason Manford and Zoe Lyons, plus an extended set from Mark himself.

Mark says: “I’m really excited to host the first ever Alfresco Comedy Club!

“We’ve had a great time at the start of 2021, bringing live comedy to drive-in audiences, and we were overwhelmed both by the demand and by the response we’ve received. But now it’s time to get back to what outdoor live shows are all about, with guests free to enjoy the show up close from their deckchairs. I can’t wait to host the first of what will become a memorable series of summer comedy nights”.

The Gruffalo – Live On Stage at The Alfresco Theatre in Stoke Park

Not forgetting the little ones too, Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s incredibly popular The Gruffalo will be making a special appearance in the musical adaptation live on stage. Join Mouse on a daring adventure through the deep, dark wood in Tall Stories’ production of the family favourite picture book. Enjoy monstrous fun for all the family at the production’s UK premiere drive-in experience!

If you’ve missed travelling then we have the perfect way for you to get you in the holiday mood, with Thursday’s opening night featuring an extra special screening of The Beach – presented by Amazing Thailand.

Thailand is set to start welcoming travellers to the tropical island of Phuket from July with more of the country opening up again later this year and to celebrate, our friends at Amazing Thailand are offering a free Chang beer in your ticket!

The Alfresco Theatre will be taking place at Stoke Park in Guildford from Thursday, June 17 to Sunday, June 20.

Tickets are on sale now. Adult tickets start from £18 for movies, £35 for comedy and music gigs, and £16 for Gruffalo tickets (ages 3+) – with each show being sold individually and subject to transaction and booking fees.
