Guildford-based Motivation by Music (MbM), that unites singers through shared musical experiences, is back with an extra special lockdown version of its original single Spring Of Life, aiming to raise a further £2,000 for Parkinson’s UK.

Motivation by Music singers performing the new recording of Spring Of Life, as seen on the YouTube video.

Prior to the coronavirus pandemic, the song, written by MbM’s founder Emily Bollon, was originally released with a heart-warming music video in April 2019 and raised £5,000 for people living with Parkinson’s.

All proceeds from the single’s re-recording re-release, which the MbM team premiered on YouTube on Saturday, July 4, will go directly towards supporting activities and complementary therapies for people living with Parkinson’s in Guildford and to the south of Surrey – a cause close to the heart of the organisation.

Rehearsals for the participants took taken place over Zoom conference calls, and the 45 voices heard singing this uplifting song recorded themselves at home during the lockdown.

They feature members from MbM Gospel Choir, Parkinsong Voices, Woking Community Choir, ToC Voices and Merrow Community Gospel Choir. They can be seen in the You Tube video edited by Sean Lyttle.

Donations can be made on its JustGiving page.
