Collision Closes Clay Lane at A320 Junction

A collision closed Clay Lane for more than two hours this morning (October 20) with traffic at its busiest.

Dragon reader Ben Darnton, who encountered the incident on his way to work, said: “It looked nasty. Traffic was diverted in both directions.”

A spokesperson for Surrey Police said: “Officers were called to reports of a two-vehicle collision on Clay Lane, Guildford, at around 8.20am this morning.

“A temporary road closure was in place until 10.45am.

“One person sustained injuries that did not require hospital treatment. No arrests were made.”
