Construction Firms’s Staff Will Volunteer Their Skills to help Charities and Organisations

Staff who work for construction, building and property maintenance firm Wates are offering their skills for free to help charities and organisations in the Guildford area.

In Guildford, for example, and in partnership with Guildford Borough Council, planning permission has been granted that will see Wates build 248 homes on the redundant Guildford Park Road car park site.

Wates says it staff are offering to volunteer to give: “Strategic advice (e.g business planning, governance, growth strategies), professional services (e.g. legal, finance, HR IT, marketing, impact measurement), skills transfer and mentoring (e.g. upskilling charity staff or trustees).”
