for Guildford people, brought to you by Guildford reporters - Guildford's own news service
Staff who work for construction, building and property maintenance firm Wates are offering their skills for free to help charities and organisations in the Guildford area.
In Guildford, for example, and in partnership with Guildford Borough Council, planning permission has been granted that will see Wates build 248 homes on the redundant Guildford Park Road car park site.
Wates says it staff are offering to volunteer to give: “Strategic advice (e.g business planning, governance, growth strategies), professional services (e.g. legal, finance, HR IT, marketing, impact measurement), skills transfer and mentoring (e.g. upskilling charity staff or trustees).”
Any charities, organisations or groups who may like to take up Wates’ offer can book a free 30-minute initial consultation. Send an email to Katherine.Jones@wates.co.uk and / or Jennie.Ellis@wates.co.uk
