Correction: Bob Hughes Cannot Nominate Guildford Candidates

Published on: 15 Nov, 2019
Updated on: 15 Nov, 2019

In our article, General Election Candidates Confirmed, Voters Registration Deadline November 26 we reported: “Notably absent from the list of Ms Richardson’s supporters is GCA chairman Bob Hughes, a known friend and ally of Anne Milton who has declined to comment on her Independent candidature.

In fact Bob Hughes lives at an address in Farley Green which is in the Mole Valley constituency and therefore could not propose a candidate standing in Guildford.

We apologise to Mr Hughes and our readers for our error. The article has been corrected.

Thank you for the correction. As stated, I couldn’t have nominated our terrific Conservative candidate Angela Richardson living in the borough but outside the constituency. But that doesn’t stop me working tirelessly to secure Angela’s election. She will be a real asset to our town as our MP.

Bob Hughes is the chairman of the Guildford Conservative Association
