Council Leader Fails To Reveal What He Told Developers

The leader of Guildford Borough Council (GBC) has failed to reveal what he said to an event held in Guildford on Monday (November 6th, 2017) for potential developers. The event was called: âGuildford and Surrey Development Plans 2017â and was organised by Built Environment Networking (BE).
It has been confirmed by BE that Cllr Spooner attended and spoke at the event.
The Guildford Dragon NEWS asked him, through the communications team at GBC:

A member of the communications team has confirmed that the message was passed on to the leader but the team had received no response.
Event organisers said of the event: ââŠour November conference in Guildford brings to light some significant development opportunities and some of the markets leading players to share with you their key schemes and plans for the future.â
âSurrey County Council and Guildford Council [sic] will set the scene on the frameworks and schemes that are on their radar and Surrey will highlight the bigger picture as far as the county is concerned.”
