Council Pays Respects To The Two Fishermen’s Friends Members Who Died at G Live

The Mayor’s chaplain said a prayer before the full council meeting on Thursday (14 February) for all of those affected by the fatal incident at G Live on 9 February. He prayed for the two men who died and all of their families and friends.

The Mayor, Cllr Jenny Jordan, opened the council meeting with a minute’s silence and then expressed her condolences on behalf of the Council.

Speaking on behalf of all councillors the Leader of the Council, Cllr Stephen Mansbridge, also read out a cross-party message of condolence: “I would like to express, on behalf of the other party leaders and all elected councillors, our heartfelt sympathy to the families, friends and many fans of Paul McMullen and Trevor Grills.

“We offer our sincere condolences following this incident and we shall hold them and their families in our thoughts and prayers.”
