Action Day is an annual fixture in the Cranmore School calendar.

Organised by the school’s director of music, Richard Harris, every boy in the senior department (aged eight to 13) participates in a full day of “action” which is given over to the performing arts. Richard said: “Boys can choose to play an instrument, recite a poem or even perform in a humorous sketch. They raise money through sponsorship and all funds go to our chosen charity. We are delighted to support Missio.”

The final sum raised by Cranmore School in West Horsley was £4,324.59.

Father Richard Biggerstaff, Parish Priest at St John the Evangelist in Horsham, collected the donation on behalf of the charity, and delivered a powerful school assembly in which he explained how this sum alone would almost cover the full cost of a new house for the many orphans in need.
